The Mission...

...of the Heartland Centers is to improve leadership and workforce competence and community capacity to increase capability to perform in emergency events and assure delivery of public health essential services. The Heartland Centers for Public Health and Community Capacity Development is comprised of the following four specialized Centers and the Learning Management System.

These Centers and Learning Management System have evolved to form a comprehensive approach to workforce development through competency-based needs assessment, curriculum development and post-program and exercise performance evaluation.
